The disgraced athlete, who is currently staring at a ban of atleast two years from athletics authorities, after urine “A” and “B” samples tested positive for a prohibited substance Erythropoietin (EPO).

This impending ban will not only put into jeopardy the athlete’s highly illustrious athletic career, but also have massive financial ramifications of the marathoner who could end up losing upto Sh 60 million within the next year.

DENTED IMAGE

And in an attempted fight to restore her dented image and probably rake in more earnings, the 33 year old was said to be willing to sell off her house located at Elgon View estate in Eldoret, alongside another plot in Eldoret town, so as to facilitate the “B” sample testing at an estimated cost of Sh 8 million.

“I have told her to be calm down, accept what has happened and look into the future. People are coming to her with lies that convinced her to spend millions in fighting a lost course (testing the “B” sample) now look what has happened,” Busienei, himself a former athlete exclusively told Nairobi News.

“Nevertheless, I wasn’t and I’m still unwilling to dispose off the assets we bought together and she knows this,” he added.

Busienei claims his relationship with Rita hit the rocks back in 2011, when he noticed that her then partner’s trainers, were offering her “suspicious medicine” during training and whenever she complained of stomach pains. The two eventually parted ways Busienei adds, after Ritaa opted to chose her agent and manager Fredrico Rosa.
