EXCLUSIVE: Akothee’s sister Cebbie Koks reveals cost of her wedding ring
Businesswoman Cebbie Koks has shared intimate details about her marriage to city lawyer Steve Ogolla.
The couple tied the knot in a lavish traditional wedding ceremony in December 2022.
In a candid and exclusive interview with Nairobi News during the grand opening of Chateau 254 Cellar Gastro Club, owned by her niece Vesha Okello, Cebbie described the first meeting with the love of her life as a lucky moment.
“How we met is a long journey. I can’t say exactly where, but we were both very ready for each other,” she disclosed with a smile.
She said the chemistry between the two was evident as they embarked on a new chapter in their lives.
While marriage can have its share of challenges, Cebbie acknowledged that she and Steve have experienced ups and downs like any other couple.
“At the beginning of any marriage, there are a lot of things that happen when you are trying to know each other. We know how to deal with that since we have a similar goal, and it is easy to manage that. He is not a difficult man, and I think we are both ready to learn each other,” Cebbie said.
The businesswoman chose to keep some aspects of their wedding private, declining to divulge the total cost of the ceremony.
However, she did reveal that her ring held special significance, costing half a million shillings.
“My ring was a half a million. It is a set of three, and we bought it in Westlands. It was a surprise, and I think he did a good job. I am really in a happy space,” she said.
As with any public figure, Cebbie has faced her share of trolls and haters online.
However, she shared that she has developed a thick skin and remains unfazed by negative comments.
She believes that opportunities will come to each person in their own time, and life’s choices can sometimes differ from what others might expect in terms of goals.
