EXCLUSIVE: Gaucho’s birthday gift to mama Ida Odinga
Self proclaimed Bunge la Mwananchi (People’s President) President Calvince Okoth aka Gaucho has gifted Mama Ida Odinga a Luo Bible (Muma Maler) as she celebrates her 73rd birthday.
Speaking to Nairobi News house after meeting the Odinga’s family in Caren, Gaucho expressed his joy saying mama Ida warmly received his gift.
“Thank you mama Ida for receiving wanaghetto gift. May God bless you and add you more years mama,” Gaucho said adding that it was a great honor visiting Odinga’s family.
“Min Piny (mama Taifa) warmly welcomed me and received my humble gift with joy, love and laughter,” Gaucho told Nairobi News .
The young upcoming politician who has been in the frontline during the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya anti-government protests aimed at lowering the cost of living praised mama Ida saying she has been part of his political rise.
“Mama has been very welcoming and accommodative. Her family has been my inspiration,” Gaucho expressed.
However, this is not the first time Gaucho is gifting Odinga’s family a bible.
When Rosemary Odinga, the daughter to Azimio la Umoja One Kenya leader Raila Odinga introduced Gaucho to her family, the ghetto president bought two Kiswahili bibles for Mr Odinga and Mama Ida.
The ghetto president wore a brown pair of trousers, a colourful shirt and brown pair of leather shoes.
On the other hand, mama Ida wore a colourful kitenge as the two happily share light moment together.
In an earlier interview with Nairobi News, Gaucho said he was unable to make it to mama Ida’s party because he went to see a friend who was hospitalized.
“I was invited to the party but I never made it. A friend of mine was hospitalized,” Gaucho told Nairobi News.
Odinga and his family hosted an opulent birthday party for his beloved wife, Ida Odinga, on Thursday, August 24.
The exclusive event took place at a prestigious five-star hotel in Nairobi and was graced by prominent Azimio leaders, close friends, and renowned personalities from the entertainment industry.
Some of the prominent people who graced the occasion include; Martha Karua, Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, Governor of Siaya County, James Orengo, Azimio La Umoja Principal Eugene Wamalwa, MP Babu Owino, singer Esther Akoth aka Akothee among others.
The ghetto president connected with Odinga’s family through Rosemary Odinga.
The bond between Gaucho and the Odinga’s family has grown strong as he is frequently seen around Odinga and his political affiliates.
