EXCLUSIVE: Inside Caroline Mutoko’s library that will inspire you

Have you heard that knowledge is buried in books?

I know you have.

Although the majority of people abandoned their books the day they stepped out of the learning institution, they should know they are missing a lot.

Media personality Caroline Mutoko is the true definition of a scholar.

Her wealth of knowledge during an exclusive interview with Nairobi News is a sure sign that she is a book warmer.

Although she reads to challenge her pot of knowledge, she also reads for fun.

“I am one of those people who read for fun and read for learning,” the ex-radio queen told Nairobi News.

One of her favourite books is What I Know for Sure by Oprah Winfrey.

“I have this old and inspiring book that I got as a Christmas present six years ago. Oprah Winfrey titled What I know for sure. This is one of the incredible books that guides me,” she reveals.

“What I know for sure is that I am not done yet, what I know for sure is that I am growing and I am in the new phase. This is why I push myself daily. To be better than I was yesterday.”

What I Know for Sure (2014) outlines the moments that shaped Oprah Winfrey into the phenomenally successful person she is today. Oprah shares her experiences and insights on overcoming hardship and how she used that strength to forge a path toward reaching her full potential.

This is true for Mutoko’s life. Caroline has many titles considering her long career and outspoken personality. Many recall her radio hosting days where she boldly tackled controversial topics on her morning radio show, the most famous being at Kiss 100 FM. Indeed, Caroline is a quintessential radio presenter, praised for her ability to boldly present hard facts and with the courage listeners are looking for.

Today, Caroline Mutoko has more than ten years’ experience in the media industry and is the marketing manager of the Radio Africa Group. She has been part of numerous remarkable projects at the company and is still a significant influence in the media industry

The other book that Mutoko is reading is Everyday Hero by Robin Sharma which she says she has obtained a working manual to help her.

“I have a very interesting novel I am reading currently. It is called My Strange Wife by Russell, Percy. This helps me keep my imaginative mind running and keep my growth running but also difficult faces going as well.”
