April 5th, 2023 2 min read

Motherhood has been great and I’m blessed to raise the most amazing kids in the world.

Those are the words of media personality Janet Mbugua in an exclusive interview with Nairobi News.

The TV girl added she is grateful to God for granting her the opportunity to raise her two sons with love.

“It’s amazing and I thank God. The two are very amazing,” Ms Mbugua told Nairobi News.

Just like any other mom, Ms Mbugua is so passionate about bringing-up well-mannered kids.

“Raising boys is amazing. I am in love with them. Huru and Mali I love them.”

However, she noted that seeing them grow is great as she also hopes they grow up supporting each other.

“It is great to see them grow into their personalities and also just teach them to grow up looking up for each other and also for their community.”

The former news anchor announced her second pregnancy on NTV’s The Trend show and later revealed through her YouTube channel that she might be expecting a boy and not twins as many of her fans had predicted.

The journalist and her husband Eddie Ndichu welcomed their second-born son Mali Mwaura, in 2018.

The couple, who got married in 2015, welcomed their first born Ethan Huru Ndichu the same year, giving rise to speculations that she might have been pregnant before she got married.

The celebrated journalist at one time shared her joy in celebrating her firstborn birthday.

She said most of the time a parent never knows what he or she is doing but always has to do their very best in bringing up their children saying it has been a journey bringing up her two sons.

‘I’d always hear parents thank God for bringing their child this far’ and I get it now. Because it’s an honor and joy and blessing to watch them grow. Even when half the time you’re not sure what you’re doing! But, you do your best. Now parenting a 4-year-old and a 7-year-old. What a journey.”

However, Ms Mbugua has not exposed her children to social media as other celebrated people do.

Her family life has been private. However, she affirms that the two will always be her heroes.
