Hollywood star Priyanka Chopra on what drew her to her husband Nick Jonas
‘Quantico’ star Priyanka Chopra did not let her 10-year age difference with American singer Nick Jonas deter her from pursuing a possible fairytale love story.
Speaking in a recent interview, the mother of one shared what initially drew her to Jonas, detailing how that one particular quality intrigued her.
“The fact that he had the confidence to slide into my DMs and ask me out. Literally, his message was I’ve been told we should meet. How cocky, so sexy,” said the actress.
The award-winning star went on to narrate the events that occurred in order for her and Jonas to meet up.
“Kevin, Nick’s older brother had watched Quantico and had told Nick as you guys should meet, and I was doing my TV show Quantico at the time, and I had a co-actor Graham who had done a movie with Nick, and he was also like you guys should meet,” said Chopra.
She revealed that she was in a toxic relationship at the time, and her co-actors from the TV show were not fond of her then-boyfriend. She admitted that she would always be on the phone in tears and they would be waiting for her.
“I was in a relationship at the time and so was Nick but my co-actors hated my boyfriend at the time because I would always be on the phone in tears and they’d be waiting for me. They wanted me to leave the relationship, so my co-actor Graham would push for me to meet Nick, but I didn’t take it seriously because I was in the throws of my tumultuous relationship at that point, but Nick slid into my DMs,” she said.
It was only after she did her research on the singer that she agreed to meet up with him.
“Like any self-respecting girl, I googled him, and this video called ‘Close’ came up and I immediately send him my number,” Chopra recalled.
