How Boniface Mwangi sneaked his underage kids into Sauti Sol’s ‘Last Dance’ concert
Controversial activist Boniface Mwangi recently confessed to a rather daring parental move when he sneaked his three underage children into Sauti Sol’s recent concert, ‘Last Dance’.
Although he acknowledged the unconventional nature of his decision, he justified it by ensuring that his kids had the time of their lives.
Boniface Mwangi admitted that he knew his actions were not entirely right, but he believed that as long as his children cherished the moment, it was worth it.
Defending his controversial decision, he emphasized that SolFest 2023 might have marked the last opportunity for the celebrated boy band to perform together.
He therefore, couldn’t deny his children, who are ardent Sauti Sol fans, the chance to witness the ‘Live and Die in Africa’ hitmakers in their “last dance.”
“Sauti Sol, it is their last performance… their last dance. And my kids are going to become older in a couple of years and they might never get a chance to watch Sauti Sol perform live. So, to sneak them in, we devised a plan,” Boniface explained.
He went on to describe how he orchestrated the plan, disguising his kids in outfits that made them appear older and using jackets, hats, and boots to conceal their identities, enabling them to pass through security checks without any issues.
“We snuck them in. We dressed them in heavy outfits, put on jackets, hats, and gumboots to make them look like they were 25 or 26,” the human rights activist narrated.
“I sneaked my kids in here; I did something a little wrong there, but they had so much fun!” the father of three added, unapologetically.
Boniface expressed the deep love his kids had for the boy band, emphasizing that Sauti Sol’s music was like the soundtrack of their family life.
That’s why he saw no harm in allowing them to attend Sol Fest.
“My kids love Sauti Sol! They dance to the music, listen to it, and sing along to it. Sauti Sol is like the sound of the family. I can’t name a favorite song because they are three kids, and each one has their favorite song,” Boniface concluded.
