Karen Nyamu and other celebs console Akothee after alleged breakup
Kenyan singer and entrepreneur Akothee has captured the spotlight since her heartfelt revelation on Sunday, October 1, where she disclosed that she had been quietly grappling with personal struggles and emotional challenges.
Akothee’s candid statement arrives four months after eagle-eyed fans noticed a conspicuous absence of her husband, Denis Schweizer, on her social media platforms, sparking rumors of a possible separation.
Akothee shared that she had gone through a traumatic experience, which left her shaken and emotionally unstable.
She mentioned that she experienced days without food and sleep and questioned herself while maintaining her public image, family, and business.
“I started by monitoring my behaviors. I realised I was breaking down quite often for no reason, even just a simple interview. I had become emotionally unstable, and I couldn’t put a finger on it. I never knew about emotional abuse until I started therapy,” Akothee revealed.
Akothee also mentioned that she had sought therapy to address her emotional state.
“I have come out of a very dangerous zone and have been healing in private. I am in my second month of therapy. The trauma I went through after finding out the truth and some ugly stuff that left me shaking,” she said.
In response to Akothee’s announcement, her close friends and family members have expressed their unwavering support and encouragement as she navigates this challenging chapter of her life.
Senator Karen Nyamu shared a heartfelt message of support, affirming Akothee’s resilience and strength.
She wrote, “My baby, you will always come out on top. You have a mwakenya for this life. We shall dance again and again. Sending love.”
Akothee’s daughter, Rue Baby, highlighted the importance of personal growth and healing in difficult times.
She emphasized that through the process of healing, one becomes stronger and better. Rue assured Akothee of their enduring support, saying: “And we will always be here for you, my love.”
Suba North Member of Parliament (MP) Millie Odhiambo Mabona extended her spiritual support to Akothee, emphasizing the resilience that comes with God’s grace.
She acknowledged Akothee’s courage in acknowledging her challenges and seeking support.
Millie also complimented Akothee’s appearance, stating, “Meanwhile, you look good.”
Comedian Butita, in a humorous yet supportive tone, stood by Akothee’s side, expressing his solidarity.
He playfully suggested that the situation warranted a “rewind” of her wedding, implying a desire to undo the separation.
“Yaani mpaka nikakuja na ndege (I even chartered a helicopter for this!), men are trash😂. I stand with my sister. She can not go through this alone. We have to undo this wedding ⏪⏪rewind.”
