Kasarani man stabbed to death in fight over woman
Police in Kasarani are investigating an incident where a man was stabbed to death over a woman.
It all started when the deceased who is the lover of the woman questioned what she was doing in the company of two men. The incident took place on Saturday, April 6, 2024.
According to the police, the three were on a drinking spree and were headed home when they met with her boyfriend.
“Then one of the men in the company of the woman withdrew a penknife from his jacked and stabbed the man identified as Fredrick in the neck and immediately fled the scene,” a police report stated.
The deceased was unable to make any move and only died due to the stab.
Police officers then took the body of the deceased to City Mortuary where it is lying awaiting postmortem.
Meanwhile, a university student allegedly committed suicide inside the institution’s compound. The university is based in Nakuru County.
The body of Collins Mutua, 23, was on the night of Sunday, April 7, 2024, found hanging from a tree in the university’s garden.
He did not leave behind any suicide note to explain why he had decided to end his life.
Mutua was a student at the institution and was undertaking an agriculture-related course.
By the time of going to press, which is two days after the body was found the university had not released a statement on the same.
At the scene where his body was lying, police found a cap, a letter of offer, his national identification card, a wrist watch and a mobile phone.
Suicide is a serious effect that has even been flagged down by the World Health Organisation (WHO) as a serious issue.
WHO links suicide to a number of issues which include; family issues, joblessness, death of loved ones, legal issues, financial constraints, depression, alcoholism and bipolar disorder.
