Global Insights on Netflix Viewing Patterns

Meanwhile, a new analysis has shed light on Netflix’s global viewing patterns, emphasizing the platform’s reliance on non-English content and its extensive back catalogue.

Spanish-language shows, constituting only 5% of Netflix’s top 18,000 titles, surprisingly account for more than 8% of total viewing time, as per research by Omdia.

Between January and June 2023, just under 50% of Netflix’s shows were originally in English, yet these titles dominated with 67.4% of total viewing during the same period.

The top 10 English-language franchises contributed only 4.7% of all viewing, indicating that the majority of Netflix’s audience engages with content beyond its most popular titles.
