Kenyan woman and two daughters murdered in their home in the US

Police in Southwest Jefferson County in the United States are investigating the death of four family members who were found dead with gunshots wounds.

The dead family members include a Kenyan woman identified as Njoki Muchemi and her two daughters, Adrianne and Brianna, were found inside their apartment in what now police believe is murder committed by the woman’s husband Gary Stanton who was .

International media have reported that the four were found dead inside their apartment on Saturday, December 4, 2022.

The matter on the shooting was first reported at Louisville Metro Police (LMPD) and when officers arrived at the scene they confirmed that all the four were members of the same family.

According to Major Micah Scheu, the officers are now treating the matter as a domestic murder- suicide.

“The man was the alleged aggressor, shooting and killing a woman and two girls inside their house. Many of our officers are fathers and mothers as well. It is difficult to see anything like this,” said the officer.

It remains unclear what led to the deadly shooting which has left area residents in shock.

On Sunday morning, plans were underway by the lead pastor of Life Church Louisville Mr Patrick Bissing to lead the church service from the home of the four.

“As a church we had seen the family during holidays; Christmas, New year’s and Easter. From the outside they looked like a traditional happy family,” the pastor said.

The matter is currently under investigations as police officers and investigating officers work round the clock to get to the bottom of the matter.
