KIDERO: Jubilee aspirants stand no chance in Nairobi

Nairobi Governor Dr Evans Kidero has told Jubilee gubernatorial aspirants to forget about clinching the city’s top job.

The Governor termed the Nairobi Jubilee team as disorganised and one that cannot win the forthcoming general elections.

“We are an organised house and they should put theirs in order first before gunning for my position. I am ready for any one fronted by Jubilee, “said Kidero.

Speaking at South C’s Seventh Day Adventist church on Sunday, Kidero vowed to floor any candidate fielded by the Jubilee Party in the August polls.

IDENTITY CARDS

The city boss lauded President Uhuru Kenyatta’s directive for timely release of identity cards to eligible voters.

He however called on the government to ensure that ID cards are availed without discrimination in all regions. This, he said, would speed up the voter registration exercise.

Speaking at the same function, Nairobi ODM Chairman George Aladwa lashes out Deputy President William Ruto for attempting to control city politics.

“Ruto should stop trying to control politics in Nairobi. He belongs to Eldoret North,” Aladwa said.

The two leaders urged city residents to register in large numbers to send the Jubilee administration home. They however raised concerns over the low turnout in the exercise that was experienced in the city in the first week.
