KRG the Don explains why Casavera lounge is closing down
Popular dancehall musician and entrepreneur KRG the Don has announced the temporary closure of his renowned nightclub, Casavera Lounge, situated along Ngong Road.
Casavera Lounge is a popular nightlife destination, known for its vibrant atmosphere and entertainment.
The closure, effective immediately, is slated to last until April, during which the venue will undergo extensive renovations.
Speaking to the media, KRG the Don expressed his regret over the closure, acknowledging the impact on his dedicated staff, patrons, and loyal fans.
He reassured the public that the closure was not permanent but rather a strategic move to enhance the overall quality of services provided by Casavera Lounge.
“Today is the official date of closing Casavera Lounge. I know this is some bad news to people who work here and even our customers and my fans who have supported me for days. We are closing because we want to improve our services, and I know it pains me and everyone who gets their daily bread here,” KRG the Don explained.
The decision to temporarily shutter the establishment is also influenced by concerns raised by the National Environmental Management Authority (NEMA) regarding noise pollution.
KRG acknowledged the issue and committed to rectifying it during the renovation period.
“We have been receiving complaints from our neighbors that we are making noise for them, and because I’m a respectful person, I have to listen. So NEMA said we are making noise for the people, so we are going to make sure we soundproof here,” KRG stated.
In addition to addressing noise concerns, the Time Bomb hitmaker revealed plans to revamp the nightclub’s security measures, ensuring a safer and more secure environment for patrons when they reopen.
“We will beef up security and do a facelift of the whole club…so that when we come back in April, all will be new,” KRG added.
