List of 9 counties that will have no electricity on Thursday

Nine counties will today, Thursday, December 14, 2023, experience power blackouts, Kenya Power has said.

In a statement, Kenya Power said that the power interruptions are a result of normal maintenance and would last for eight hours.

The counties that will be affected include Machakos, with the specific areas being Mlolongo Town, parts of Sabaki, Ilpolosat and Konza.

The areas that will be affected include Ngwata Phase 3, Mlolongo Police, Madharau Street, Masai Shop, and adjacent customers.

In Sabaki, the areas that will be affected include Upper Lower Sabaki, Sabaki Catholic Church, Mount Olive, White Star, and adjacent customers.

In Ilpolosat and Konza areas, the specific places that will be affected include Konza Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS), Konza Railway Station, Konza Primary School, Ilmamen Primary School, Ilpolosat, Sirere, Konza Market, Parts of Konza City, Konza Safaricom Booster, Konza Ranch and Naserian Primary School.

Other areas include Keriako Tobiko, China Aerospace, Anglican Inland Church Olemunugush Primary School, and adjacent customers.

In Kajiado County, the areas that will be affected include Kiserian with specific areas including- Kanisani Road, Kwekwe, Nalepo, Kahuho, Kiserian Town, Pipeline Road, Kipeto, Saithya, and adjacent customers.

In Uasin Gishu County, the areas that will be affected include Cheplaskei and Kabiyet. Specific areas include Outspan, Cheplaskei, Oletepes, Kimuri, Kabongo, Lelmokwo, Sigoit, Chepkemel, Ndalat, Sangalo Tea Factory, Mlango, Taborwa, St Brigit and adjacent customers.

In Nyeri County, the areas that will be affected include Tetu, Kigogoini, and Wandumbi. Other areas are; Chaka, Karundas, Chinga and Ruruguti.

The specific areas that will be affected within the towns include Tetu Girls, Kiriti Secondary School, Upper Gachuiro, Rosewood Academy, Kigogoini Market, Wandumbi Secondary School and Gatumbiro Market.

More areas that will be affected include Chaka, Karundas, Nyaribo, Kiganjo Police College, New KCC, Maragina, and Rosa Academy.

Embu County was also on the list, and the area that will be affected is PI Oriental Hotel, Karuangi Market, Mugambaciura, and adjacent customers.

In Nandi County, the areas that will be affected include Koisolik and Kurgung. Other areas are; Kamarora, Kamasai and St Brigitta.

In Kisii County, Ogembo and Kenyenya areas will be affected. Others are Eberege, Riokindo, Magenche, Sengera, Ibencho Market, and adjacent customers.

In Migori County, Kegonga and Maeta areas will be affected whilst in Kiambu County, the areas that will be affected include Prisons, Superfoam, and BTL.

Other areas within Kiambu County include; Kenya Tents, Ruiru Prisons, Parts of OJ, Shell OJ Petrol Station, Membley Riverside, and parts of Tatu City.

Also to be affected in Kiambu County is Mount Kenya University (MKU) and Bidco, which are located in the same area. Equally Weitethie Area will also be affected by the power interruptions.

In Kilifi County, areas that will be affected include Sea Horse, Magreb, Viwa Hospital, and adjacent customers.
