Lizzie’s health journey took a challenging turn in 2018 when she started experiencing symptoms of acid reflux.
Seeking medical attention at Aga Khan Hospital, the symptoms persisted, with occasional complaints of head congestion, though manageable.
In 2022, Lizzie’s health deteriorated as she began losing weight and feeling fatigued, disrupting her usual work routine.
By February 2023, she received a diagnosis of cancer at an advanced stage.
She sought treatment in India and, after undergoing chemotherapy, remarkably rebounded to attend NIBS’s 14th graduation ceremony in October 2023.
Unfortunately, complications emerged in November, prompting her return to the hospital.
In early January 2024, Lizzie faced increased challenges, including vomiting and difficulty in walking, leading to her readmission to Aga Khan Hospital.
After a period of care, she was discharged and returned home under the supervision of a nurse.
Tragically, on the fateful morning of Sunday, January 14, the family received a distressing call from the nurse informing them that some of Lizzie’s organs had failed.
