Mungai Eve reveals pressure following launch of new YouTube channel


Content creator Mungai Eve says she had found herself under pressure after her ex-boyfriend, Trevor, took control of their previous YouTube channel following their breakup.

Eve, who has since launched a new YouTube channel, expressed the challenges she’s facing amidst this transition.

When contacted by Nairobi News for an interview, Eve admitted to feeling uneasy, stating:

“I will do an interview later my dear. I am under pressure right now.”

In an announcement marking her comeback, Mungai shared her plans for the revamped channel:

“Get ready for a start and a whole lot of inspiration empowering messages and a positive impact on your world. At Mungai Eve, we’ve always strived to share captivating stories that resonate with your soul. Now with a brand new look and feel, we are taking things a step further.”

After debuting her channel, Eve’s first interview was with media personality, Andrew Kibe.

Sharing a snippet of the interview, Eve captioned, “Embarking on a journey from Starting Over to Rising Up.”

Her ex-partner, Trevor rebranded the original “Mungai Eve” YouTube channel to “Kenya Online Media” and declared that Eve’s services were no longer required on the platform.

The channel, founded on January 2, 2020, boasts over 750K subscribers with over 2353 videos uploaded to date.

Responding to queries from fans about whether Eve would still be involved, Trevor stated:

“No, her services are no longer needed on the following platforms: YouTube (754K subscribers), Insta Fame (104K subscribers), and Facebook (874K followers.”

Trevor also announced the rebranding of the “Mungai Eve” Facebook page, which has over 104K followers, to Kenya Online Media. He also took over another channel, Insta-Fame, which had over 104 subscribers on YouTube.

Trevor has since extended warm wishes to Eve for her new journey, sharing a heartfelt message on Kenya Online Media’s Insta Stories:

“From Kenya Online Media (KOM), we wish Mungai Eve all the best in her new journey.”

Various celebrities have shown their support for Mungai Eve’s new channel by sharing information about it on their social media platforms, pledging their ongoing support.
