New traffic lights to ease pressure on police
Traffic police will soon be deployed to other duties when the recently installed lights on the roads start working.
Traffic Police Commandant, Samuel Kimaru, however said the absence of police officers on the roads will not mean that motorists will not be arrested.
The street surveillance cameras, he said, would help to identify offenders. The street cameras and lights were installed three months ago in several parts of the city to boost the traffic flow.
