Nigerian songbird, Tiwa Savage, signed by Jay-Z label
Nigerian songstress, Tiwa Savage, seems to have put her scandals behind her after reportedly sealing a music distribution deal with American rapper Jay-Z’s Roc Nation label.
Just months after she announced that she was divorcing her husband in an emotional video clip that went viral, the mother of one now seems to be focused on her professional life.
According to Okay Africa, talks of adding the Nigerian songbird to Roc Nation began shortly after Jay Z announced that his cousin and Roc Nation director of mobile strategies, Briant ‘Bee-High’ Biggs, had moved to Nigeria in search of new talent.
The Kele Kele love hit maker and her Mavin Records CEO Don Jazzy met Jay–Z at the Roc Nation office in New York to sign a mega-deal and later posted for a photo and a video session.
Tiwa Savage also posted a picture of herself with Don Jazzy and Jay Z on Instagram and captioned it: “Marvin X Roc Nation.”
With her signing to Roc Nation, Tiwa is reported to be the first Nigerian and only female artist to be signed under the Jay Z label.
