Uproar after traffic policeman allegedly assaults and threatens to kill driver
Kenyan online are up in arms after a driver in Eldoret claimed he had been assaulted by a traffic police officer.
In a post on the popular Facebook page, Sikika Road Safety, the man by name Elkana Limo claimed the police officer assaulted him with his safety helmet, causing his left eye to swell shut.
“I was assaulted by a traffic officer in Eldoret who always patrols along Uganda Road between Raiply and Roadblock using a police motorbike. He said I failed to stop and upon stopping me after following me, he hit me with his helmet… and pointed his gun at me saying he can kill me,” Mr Limo said.
Mr Limo also said he reported the matter to the Eldoret Police Station.

“How can this happen? He should have arrested him instead…How can you destroy someone’s eye?” posed Sankos Jnr Skoch.
