Why Bahati is preparing to quit social media

Musician and content creator Bahati, 32, has made headlines once again, this time not for his music or entertaining content, but for a surprising revelation about his future on social media platforms.

In a recent post shared with his followers, Bahati, alongside his wife Diana Marua, provided a glimpse into the challenging process behind their latest video production.

The couple shared behind-the-scenes moments, shedding light on the strenuous efforts required to bring their creative vision to fruition.

In a candid caption accompanying the post, Bahati expressed his frustration, revealing that the video-making process nearly pushed him to his limits.

“I’m not doing this again; Let me go back to Music. Watch till the End to see what we went through Making this Video. @Diana_Marua is so unfair, she escaped her part in this Video,” Bahati lamented.

Diana chimed in, echoing Bahati’s sentiments and emphasizing the demanding nature of content creation.

“Aaaaahhh!!!!! It’s not easy. This was at 1 am; we slept at 4 am, and I had an early morning. Guys! Respect Content creators FR,” Diana urged.

Expressing his exasperation, Bahati disclosed his plans to step away from social media once he reaches the age of 40, citing the overwhelming challenges associated with such endeavors.

“These challenges are too much work. When I get to 40 years old, I will quit social media. I have 8 more years to do these challenges,” Bahati declared.

However, Diana was quick to question Bahati’s resolve, teasingly asking if he planned to endure eight more years of mundane tasks like rolling dough.

“You will still eat Unga for eight years?” Diana asked.

Bahati had shared a video on his Instagram page, capturing a kitchen mishap as he attempted to teach Diana how to roll out dough.

The light-hearted video showcased Bahati’s misfortune as he inadvertently ended up with flour on his face.

Despite the mishap, Bahati offered a sincere apology to Diana and promised not to repeat his blunder.

“Forgive me babe, please. I won’t repeat it,” Bahati humbly wrote in the caption.

The video, which captured the couple’s playful dynamic, quickly garnered attention, amassing over 1 million views on Instagram.

Bahati boasts a staggering following of over 3.5 million on his Instagram page and 2.4 million on Facebook.

Utilising his social media platforms, Bahati has effectively promoted his music brand even during his political candidacy.

In August 2023, Bahati expressed regret for thrusting her into the limelight, acknowledging the challenges of facing public scrutiny.

Despite the backlash, he noted with pride that she had become the leading YouTube content creator in East Africa, emphasizing that her success was part of a divine plan.
