Edday Nderitu, the ex-wife of the Mugithi singer Samuel Muchoki, popularly known by his stage name Samidoh, is one of the social media users with a massive following.

A spot check by Nairobi News reveals that she has over 431K followers on Facebook, 154K on Instagram, and 233K on TikTok, with over 3.8 million likes, respectively.

With this substantial following, Edday has recently been posting adverts, prominently featuring land and real estate investments on her social media walls.

A credible source close to Edday confirmed to Nairobi News she indeed has deals with some companies in Kenya.

“She is trying; there are several companies that approached her to promote their products,” the source, who sought anonymity, said, though she did not reveal the exact companies.

Despite being actively involved in marketing, the nature of her job in the United States (US) does not permit her, the informer said.

After moving to the United States in May 2023, she secured employment, raising her three children fathered by Samidoh.

“For the last year, she has been building herself. She works the entire week, apart from the weekends,” the informer noted.

The source revealed that she is actively pursuing permanent relocation to the US, having already secured a fully furnished permanent residence.

“She is servicing a mortgage; she did not settle in a rental house. In fact, her house is fully furnished,” the credible source said.

Edday separated from Samidoh following his affair with nominated Senator Karen Nyamu.

The Kikuyu musician has fathered two children with the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party-nominated Senator, a move that did not sit well with Edday.
