Our parents would never! Kenyans react to PP2 student’s David Moya, limousine surprise on his graduation day

On November 23, 2022, social media influencer and viral dancer David Moya, surprised a five-year-old Pre-Primary Two (PP2) student during his graduation ceremony with his signature dance moves to the hit song Mi Amor by Marioo and Jovial.

As is his modus operandi, he walked into the event dressed in a cartoon character costume, danced his routine, and surprised the little boy with flowers, chocolate, and a card from his mother; gifted the boy’s friends with chocolate before escorting the “VVIP” to a red carpet as they headed to a waiting white stretch limousine and leaving the venue with him.

The video went viral at the nature of the opulence such a young child was exposed and probably accustomed to as a section of Kenyans gave their sentiments on the graduation treat.

“Wah! These parents of Gen Z are not ‘small’ people. They are doing the most…cause our parents would never!,” said Miss Boujee.

“They are setting the bar too high yawa, or should I go look for money and stop spewing hot air,” laughed Mango Jackline.

“I can’t even show my son this. I will not be able to sleep today,” added Winfred Nyang.

“But God! I graduated university without anyone to offer me a flower and no one in attendance but here is a hot surprise and a limousine. I love this though. Treat your kids and make them happy as if tomorrow doesn’t exist,” said Diana Densler.

“Ask the parents if they can adopt a 30-year-old baby girl,” laughed Naai Grace.

“The pressure you parents are giving us!” laughed and cried Phydelice Shumila.

Aside from this David Moya treat, another video went viral online as parents to a boy named Jeremy made waves when they organized an entourage of fuel guzzlers, including a range rover land cruiser among others to take them to the school where their son studies for special prayers.

This was because their son was about to sit his final primary school national examinations, the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education exams.

Just as in this David Moya treat, Kenyans also reacted to the video lamenting how parents set the bar too high for other parents to emulate should their children expect to be treated the same way.
