Karen Nyamu: My heart is full of Samidoh not only my mind
Karen Nyamu has openly expressed her profound love for Mugithi singer Samuel Muchoki, known as Samidoh.
Addressing a fan’s comment, Nyamu emphasized that Samidoh occupies not just her heart, but also her mind, countering the criticism of being labeled a husband snatcher.
Despite facing backlash for her publicized romantic involvement with Samidoh, Nyamu has been outspoken against those who accuse her of ‘stealing’ Edday Nderitu’s husband.
In a bold statement, Nyamu declared, “It’s your life, feel free to burn the rule book. Sometimes the rules are meant to be rewritten not followed.” This was in response to a fan’s criticism: “Someone might think you are wise until you open your mouth. Your brain is always filled with Samidoh, someone else’s husband.” Nyamu retorted, “Even my heart is filled by him not only my mind.”
Further interactions reveal another fan’s observation, “We will force until it agrees,” to which Nyamu replied sagely, “Only that you do not come back crying after things go south because you forced things thinking that a man can be forced into a relationship they don’t want to be in.”
Nyamu, who shares two children with Samidoh, has never shied from expressing her affection and admiration for the singer. In a recent interview, she revealed that his cool and open demeanor plus authenticity is what drove her to him.
“He’s cool, he has a cool spirit, he’s very funny, he’s open, he doesn’t pretend, the soul is naked, you see. He has a vibe that I have never seen in my life. He is very attractive. He usually says some things and I know in my life I will never hear another person say them,” she explained.
However, her involvement in Samidoh drove a wedge between him and her ‘first’ wife Edday who relocated to the USA together with their children. Before leaving, Edday posted on her social media that she could not withstand polygamy nor allow her children to grow up in such a union.
