MP blames political foes for destruction of CDF projects

Yet another project initiated by Embakasi West Member of Parliament Hon George Theuri has been vandalized.

This follows the destruction of the Umoja 2 Zone 8 Youth Group labour office on Tuesday night by unknown people.

Mr Theuri, who is known for meeting his constituents every week to monitor his projects, is now reading sabotage by his political detractors.

“For how long will these acts go on? You wake up in the morning and the structures you had put up to help the local youths have been flattened,” Mr Theuri lamented.

This is the third time in as many months that CDF projects initiated by the youthful MP have been targeted for destruction in what is believed to be as a result of bitter rivalry between Mr. Theuri and an MCA in the constituency.

Last month rowdy youths demonstrated and demolished a borehole next Unity Primary School in Nairobi’s Umoja Innercore estate. Three people were arrested and charged in court connection with the incident.
