Allan Wanga set to join Gor Mahia training camp

Allan Wanga will train with Gor Mahia for seven days starting next Monday, Nairobi News understands.

This is after Wanga’s parent club Azam FC requested the Kenyan Premier League champions to allow the Kenyan international train with the club’s during his current stay in Kenya.

Wanga signed for the club in July but has been away for long spells.

He missed the Cecafa Kagame Cup owing to late registration and was offered compassionate leave following the illness and subsequent death of his mother.

“He (Wanga) will train with Gor Mahia for a week starting next Monday and then link up with Harambee Stars to prepare for the match against Zambia. Thereafter he will return to Tanzania,” our source revealed.

The former AFC Leopards and El Merreikh striker is expected to miss Azam’s ongoing pre-season training in Zanzibar and also the curtain raising Charity Shield match against Yanga on Sunday.
