Ban plastics yes, but give us an alternative
The environmental hazard caused by polythene bag waste comes back to us — in other words we are the consumers of this dirt through breathing and eating minute plastic toxins.
So while we welcome the move by the county government to ban the use of these bags, we must have an alternative kind of bag to carry merchandise from the markets.
Come up with innovative bags that are visually pleasing and functional. No one wants to carry an ugly bag from the store.
