Catherine Kasavuli’s son to release a documentary on her first anniversary


As the first anniversary of the passing of esteemed media personality Catherine Kasavuli approaches, her son, Martin Kasavuli, has opened up about how he plans to commemorate the occasion.

Martin says he plans to support a charitable cause in his late mother’s name.

Catherine Kasavuli, a beloved figure in the media industry, succumbed to cancer at Kenyatta National Hospital in December 2022.

Taking to his Instagram page, Martin shared with followers the multifaceted ways he intends to pay tribute to his mother’s memory.

Martin said he is determined to honor his mother’s legacy with a series of meaningful activities.

He candidly shared that he has been feeling unwell, and upon medical advice, he is prioritizing rest while juggling the demands of daily life.

Martin revealed that he has been working on a small documentary dedicated to his late mother, aligning with the upcoming anniversary.

This documentary will be shared in support of Catherine Kasavuli’s foundation.

Martin highlighted a month-long focus on a hospital fundraising for needy children who had been sick.

“Been feeling unwell, doctor and someone close advised me to take some rest, so I’m currently trying to do that, but man’s gotta hustle…I shot a small documentary on mom, it being her anniversary month, so yeah, there’s that that I’ll be sharing soon in support of her foundation.”

After her demise, Martin Kasavuli described his mother as a precious gift from God and expressed his heartfelt sentiments, saying:

“Catherine, whenever I am missing you, I also remember how fortunate I was that you were in my life. I wouldn’t trade those moments for the world. You were precious, a gift from God, possessing an abundance of beauty, grace, love, and patience.”

He continued, “You touched my heart in so many ways. Even on dark days, your strength and smile made me realize I had an angel beside me. I’m still learning how to navigate life without you. Mama, I miss you.”
