Coach Nkata dumps Bandari, sets eyes on Uganda return
Coach Paul Nkata’s departure from Bandari should be confirmed by this weekend when he will be unveiled as coach of Uganda Revenue Authority.
Nkata handled City Stars, Muhoroni Youth, Tusker and Bandari during his three seasons in the SportPesa Premier League club.
Reports from Kampala indicate that he has been approached by the Ugandan mid-table side.
He is set to replace Ibrahim Kiirya who has been shown the door after a spate of poor performances in the Ugandan league.
The tax collectors are currently ranked fifth behind SC Villa, Police, KCCA and Onduparaka, having garnered 22 points from 14 league games.
Nkata peaked at Tusker where he led the team to winning both the SportPesa Premier League title and the domestic shield during the 2016 league season.
He however surprisingly quit in a huff and joined Bandari, a team he led to a tenth placed finish in the 18-team league this season.
