DJ Fatxo’s UK Tour after exoneration, Jeff Mwathi’s family clings to hope
Musician Lawrence Njuguna Wagura, aka DJ Fatxo, is now in the United Kingdom, aiming to resurrect his music career following his exoneration from a murder case in which he was previously a suspect.
DJ Fatxo is currently on a UK tour, hosting events for Kenyans, and entertaining them with his music at popular joints.
The musician had been linked to the death of interior designer Jeff Mwathi who died in his Kasarani apartment under unclear circumstances.
However, he was cleared by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) for lack of enough evidence.
Nairobi News has established that he has visited several places in his UK tour, and it remains unclear when he will return to the country.
“In God we trust, about to go back on stage in a few after six months of pain, help me Lord for it is in you I trust. Coventry let us do this,” he posted on Facebook.

DJ Fatxo has recently been sharing encouraging messages on his official social media accounts.
For instance, on July 9, 2023, he said, “Never be afraid to speak up for honesty, truth and compassion in the face of injustice, deception, and greed. If people all throughout the world did this, it would transform the world.”
Amidst the tour, Mr Mwathi’s family seeks justice and clarification on his sudden and brutal death.
In May, Ms Ann Wacuka, the mother of the interior designer, refuted payment claims, emphasizing her sole pursuit of justice for her son’s death.
“I have also heard people saying that we have received some money and that is why we have been quiet while investigations are going on, but there is no such thing,” Ms Wacuka told the media at her Njoro, Nakuru County home.
She said that she had decided to remain calm and allow sleuths attached to the DCI continue with their investigations until they get to the bottom of the matter.
