Exclusive: Khaligraph opens up on handling low moments as a public figure


Award-winning rapper Khaligraph Jones has shed light on how he navigates the lows of being a public figure and discussed the importance of mental health awareness among celebrities.

Recognizing mental health as one of the challenges faced by individuals in the public eye, Khaligraph in a candid interview with Nairobi News, revealed that he recently reached out to comedian Crazy Kenar, who had openly expressed his struggles with depression.

“I make it a point to reach out immediately to any celebrity going through mental health challenges. I had a conversation with Crazy Kenar, and we connected on a deep level,” Khaligraph said.

The talented rapper said he rarely allows issues to bring him down.

“I have experienced tough times in my own life, but I realised that no one will come to rescue me, even when I’m feeling down. That realisation helped me develop a resilient mindset, and I always strive to emerge stronger,” shared Khaligraph.

The rapper attributes his ability to handle difficult moments to his tough background, acknowledging that not everyone has been raised with the same resilience.

“I grew up in an environment that taught me to be tough as an individual, but I understand that not everyone has had the same upbringing,” he added, emphasizing the importance of recognizing individual differences in coping mechanisms and supporting those in need.

Known for his hilarious content and advocacy against depression, Crazy Kennar’s latest post has left fans worried about his well-being.

“Depression is real,” the comedian’s message on Twitter reads.

As a public figure, Khaligraph Jones encouraged that it is crucial to continue conversations surrounding mental health, encouraging open dialogue and providing resources for those who may be struggling.
