Joey Muthengi’s thoughts on possible TV comeback

Media personality Joey Muthengi has shared her thoughts on whether she would check her partner’s phone saying that she wouldn’t want to add more problems to the ones she already has.

Sharing via her Instagram page, the renowned TV girl said that if she ever found her partner’s phone unlocked she would lock it for him and not go snooping as she has enough problems as is.

“When he leaves his phone unlocked, I lock it. I have enough problems already,” said Muthengi.

The former Citizen TV presenter has managed to keep her love life private for the most part, as she was previously rumored to have dated football star Mariga following projects they did together. Muthengi, however, refuted the rumors and cleared the air on her true relationship with Mariga saying that they had a professional engagement.

Having started her media journey at Capital FM in 2009 as a radio presenter and producer, Muthengi has remained relevant to date throughout her media career.

She was famed for hosting and producing the wildly popular youth show, Hits not Homework at the time.

Joey has done it all; From emceeing to hosting, acting, and at one point being a video jockey, Joey can as well be described as a Jill of all trades.

Describing herself as a public figure, Joey has a passion for music and spoken word poetry. She has had the pleasure of hosting some of the biggest shows in East Africa and has done exemplarily well while at it.

“I hope to soon return to the screen to reprise my role as a capable host and presenter”, she says.

Joey is currently working as an events host, and influencer as well as a part-time correspondent for Voice of America. She also dabbles as an actress and has been part of several local drama TV series including the award-winning family drama Changing Times, which aired on KTN.

She is co-founder and director of The Muthengi Foundation, a non-profit organization aimed at creating economic empowerment through mentorship.
