Kasarani mystery deaths: Yet another bizarre death


Amid a wave of unexplained deaths in Kasarani Sub County, Nairobi police are now investigating the death of Walter Odhiambo Sala, whose body was found dumped by the road in Roasters, Nairobi County.

The body was discovered by members of the public, who informed traffic police officers.

“It was reported by traffic control room that there is a dead body of a male adult at Garden Estate area along Roasters- Windsor Road. A team of officers led by the Sub County Criminal Investigating Officer (SCCIO) rushed to the scene,” the report read in part.

According to a police report, on the road, Mr. Odhiambo’s body was found lying supine position – which means lying horizontally with the face and torso facing up.

He had a deep cut on the back of his head, and his trouser and shoes had traces of mud. Preliminary investigations suggest that unknown people dropped the body on the road.

Police found a wallet in his pocket containing three identity cards belonging to Beatrice Esther Atieno, Vitalis Sala Kisera, and Fransister Auma Sala.

Kasarani area has been under scrutiny following a series of mysterious deaths, including Jeff Mwathi’s death in the house of Lawrence Njuguna Wagura, also known as DJ Fatxo, and Brenda Kawira Gitonga’s death.

“The scene was processed and documented by officers from Nairobi Area,” the report further read.

The investigation into Walter Odhiambo Sala’s death is ongoing, and his body is currently at the City Mortuary awaiting an autopsy.
