Kate actress to critic, ‘I can never be desperate, I chose who to date and when’
Catherine Kamau, popularly known as Kate Actress, found herself in a clash with fans on Facebook following the posting of pictures featuring her and ex-husband Philip Karanja, aka Phil Director.
The former couple celebrated their daughter’s fourth birthday on December 15, with Kate sharing event pictures and expressing the positive co-parenting relationship with Phil.
“She is the most lovable little person in the world. Daddy’s girl in everything. She had a great birthday,” Kate Actress said in the photos she posted.
Fans, however, focused more on the images of Phil, urging Kate to reconsider rekindling their romance.
Some fans even commented on the couple’s good looks together, expressing a desire for their reunion.
One fan, Emily Emy, urged Kate to go back to her husband, suggesting she might feel lonely in her 50s without a man.
Kate, however, responded assertively, stating, “I get to choose who I want, when I want, and not the other way round. I am a top tier.”
Despite compliments on their compatibility, Kate dismissed the idea of reconciliation, emphasizing personal choice in relationships.
The actress asserted the need for mutual respect in expressing opinions and not overstepping boundaries.
Kate asserted, “[I am a] clapback queen because I have witnessed what online bullying can do. You must take what you dish on my page. We all have our opinions but let’s not always overstep, my peeps. I am not the one. Otherwise, let’s resume. I will never be a doormat at the expense of peace. I am just real.”
Kate Actress is allegedly in a new relationship.
Kate Actress and Phil Director officially announced their separation earlier this year, emphasizing their commitment to co-parenting, friendship, and maintaining their business partnership.
“We came to a conclusion to end our marriage a long while ago and are separated. We sincerely request everyone to honor our wishes for privacy for us and our children,” shared Kate.
Phil echoed similar sentiments, stating, “Kate and I remain as friends, co-parents, and business partners. Allow us to proceed with our lives without unnecessary gossip.”
