Socialite Risper Faith dropped hints about undergoing surgery to achieve weight loss, becoming the latest personality to share her transformative journey.
On December 17, she revealed her slimmer physique through a distinctive set of photos.
Risper Faith has promised to provide details about her weight loss journey on her YouTube channel in the near future.
This marks her second experience with weight loss, following a liposuction procedure in 2020.

Content creator Maureen Waititu
Maureen Waititu shared her massive weight loss journey on her social media platforms after she revealed that she had had a Gastric balloon procedure.
In her YouTube, the mother of two revealed that she had added about 30kg, which made her weigh 94kg, and after the procedure, she managed to lose over 20 kg within a period of five months and is ready to lose 10 more kg revealing that;
“Having the gastric balloon at first was a struggle at first but I’m currently okay and I have two months to go.” Adding that she has currently started exercising since she wants her snatched body as soon as possible, as she explained;
“I want to go back to how I used to be and I’m working out to reactivate my metabolism since the weight loss has slowed down.”
She expressed that her motivation for losing weight is that she wanted to be healthy so that she can be there for her kids.
“I was very unhealthy before and I was losing control over my weight.”
Media personality Ciru Muriuki
In July, the former BBC journalist Ciru paraded a before and after photo showing incredible weight loss.
In a post on social media, Ciru Muriuki detailed how far she has come in the weight loss journey.
The amazing transformation started in early February after realizing she had put on too much weight.
“Hey! Look at me. This wasn’t me in December. Swipe to see who I was 6 months ago. Pretty big change, right?” Ciru Muriuki started off her post.
The former BBC journalist then went on to add that it had reached a point she wouldn’t look at herself in the mirror due to the weight.
“When that pic of me was taken last Dec, I was shaken. I could not understand how I had gotten to that size. Then on top of that, my health had begun to suffer. My joints hurt, and I could not go up a flight of stairs without huffing and puffing. Let’s not even talk about my mental health. My confidence was in the toilet and I hated looking in the mirror,” Ciru went on to open up.
Willis Raburu
TV host Willis Raburu has been open about his weight loss progress a year after he had a gastric bypass surgery.
Raburu shared that when he started off, he was at 164kgs, and he had lost 40, with him weighing 124kilos a year after.
The procedure cost him between Sh600,000 and Sh 900,000.
Raburu said he opted for the surgery after the gym failed to work out for him.
Jamal Rohosafi
Jamal Marlow ‘Rohosafi’ underwent both a hair transplant and swallowed a balloon to shed some kilos.
Jimal Rohosafi indicated that he has become part of the increasing number of Kenyan celebrities who have opted for gastric bypass surgery for weight loss.
The matatu boss shared a clip of the procedure, featuring a plastic tube being inserted down his throat, with a simple caption: “Gastric balloon.”
Caroline Mutoko
Media personality Caroline Mutoko revealed a remarkable weight loss journey, shedding 11 kilograms in just two months through a gastric balloon procedure in August.
Starting at a weight of 94 kilograms, she now weighs 83 kilograms, thanks to the procedure.
Addressing her audience, Mutoko spoke passionately about the importance of health, especially for women over the age of 40.
She shared her personal experience, emphasising the need for open conversations about health, finances, and life in general.
“After 13 years, I finally paid a visit to a health facility for my first consultation. I told the doctor that as I enter this season where cortisol, estrogen, and progesterone aren’t necessarily working together in my favour, I need help. So, I took the help I needed,” she explained.
