Meet Samidoh Muchoki: Kenya’s good boy turned bad

Samuel Muchoki, popularly known as Samidoh, has been making headlines both for the right and wrong reasons.

His affair with Karen Nyamu, a nominated senator, has painted him in a negative light. Karen doesn’t hesitate to share details about their relationship, causing a stir in public.

This has earned him the tag, ‘Bad Boy’.

Karen has been fighting to secure her place in Samidoh’s life, and even caused a scene at an entertainment joint in Dubai last December.

The two have two children together, but Samidoh is married to Edday Nderitu, who has been through a lot due to the affair.

Despite being the goat’s wife, Edday has stood by her husband, and they recently celebrated their youngest daughter’s first birthday in a lavish party.

The family, including their other two children, were dressed in casual attire and were all smiles in the photo taken at the event.

A video of the celebration showed Samidoh and Edday in a romantic moment, expressing their love for each other through a song.

The crowd cheered them on, and Samidoh, who is also a police officer, shouted “Hallelujah”.

The couple has rekindled their love, and Samidoh is now a loving and caring husband.

As police officers, discipline is part of their DNA, but it seems that Samidoh has gone all out to ensure his two women stay in his life.

His family drama and affairs have gotten out of hand to the point where Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua had to intervene and ask him to reign in his women.

This begs the question: why is Samidoh risking his reputation, career, and family for the sake of two women?

It’s not just about Samidoh’s individual choices but also about the societal attitudes towards extramarital affairs.

In many communities, men are applauded for having multiple partners, while women are shamed and labelled as promiscuous. This double standard needs to end.

As a public figure, Samidoh has a responsibility toward his fans, family, and society. He should lead by example and show that cheating on your spouse is not okay, lying to your family, and disrespecting women. His actions have consequences, and he must face them.

It’s also important to remember that affairs have ripple effects on everyone involved. The emotional pain, financial strain, and public humiliation can be overwhelming. Samidoh needs to take responsibility for his actions and make amends.
