Why MP Theuri is so mad at one Embakasi West resident
Embakasi West MP, George Theuri, is yet again courting controversy with an offensive comment on social media directed at one of his constituents over his development agenda.
The flamboyant and showy legislator did not take kindly the issues raised by the constituent, a certain Ms Monique Mwangi, who questioned the MP’s priorities in the constituency.
“Our MP is incompetent. We have bad roads and he is doing boxing and eating competitions. Priorities zake ni wrong. Does he even understand his duties ama no swag tu?? Hata parliament hajawai ongea kitu,” Monique wrote Facebook.
The post evidently annoyed the MP who responded by dismissing Ms Mwangi as someone “suffering from verbal diarrhea.”
“TORN PANTIES”
“Monique Mwangi I don’t want to engage you since you are suffering from verbal diarrhea. Unafikiria bara bara nikama suruari yako ikipasuka unakimbiza kwa fundi kupigwa kiraka (Do you think the roads are like your panties which can be stitched when torn) come slowly,” Mr Theuri wrote in response to Ms Mwangi’s post.
“For some things to happen there is a procedure… and if you think you are competent simama pia wewe (stand up and be counted),” the MP added.
The first-time Member of Parliament has in recent times gained notoriety for controversies and goofs that have often placed under public scrutiny.
In November 2015, the MP posted shocking photos and a video of his wife and their two young sons holding a pistol during a family outing.
Then a few days later, another disturbing photo surfaced on social media showing the MP in a semi-naked pose while locked in an embrace with his wife Cynthia Gitonga.
The photo sparked off widespread fury and criticism from the public forcing the MP to later delete it as he had done with the previous pistol photos.
Residents of Embakasi West constituency, especially those from Umoja estate, where the MP resides, have for the past four years been complaining about poor roads, drainage and insecurity in the area.
