Mudavadi among guests during Hotel Sapphire relaunch in Mombasa


Pomp and celebrations over the weekend marked the official relaunch of the Hotel Sapphire in Mombasa County.

Led by Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, Speaker of the National Assembly Moses Wetangula, businessman Mr Al Noor Jiwan’s family, hotel staff and guests joined in an elaborate ceremony to celebrate the relaunch gala.

Speaking during the event, the PCS said that the tourism sector is in need of support as it provides employment for around 1.6 million Kenyans and contributes significantly to Kenya’s GDP.

“We commend his courage and confidence in the Kenyan market. With the positive statistics emerging, we encourage more investors to overlook the political noise and consider local investment in the travel, tourism, and hospitality sector,” he said.

He added that Kenyans are eager to support the government’s efforts in revitalizing the economy instead of engaging in activities that hinder the country’s prosperity.
