Nikita Kering, Xenia Mannasseh top streamed Kenyan female muscians.


R&B star Xenia Manasseh and Afro pop/soul chanteuse Nikita Kering are the most streamed Kenyan female singers according to global streaming platform Spotify.

According to a Spotify data report compiled covering the last three months (90 days), the two artists who are part of RADAR and EQUAL Spotify programs continue to enjoy massive streams of their music from home and abroad.

In that period, a lot of Manasseh songs based in the US, attracted a majority of streams from Kenya, USA, United Kingdom, South Africa and Nigeria in that order.

Whereas Nikita who recently dropped two records since cutting ties with Universal Music Group after a 10 month silence, had most of her music streams come from Kenya, USA, Nigeria, UK and South Africa in that order.

Nigerian Ayra Starr continues to top the chart as the most streamed African female artiste across the Southern Sahara region.

Since joining the RADAR program that is about recognizing emerging talent, the reports says Ayra listenership on the platform increased by 91 percent within the first three weeks, while Manasseh’s increase was 113 percent.

On the most play-listed records by select RADAR and EQUAL programs, Rush by Ayra Starr leads. Ex by Nikita is forth while Probably Never byu Manasseh lies seventh.

The reports also indicate that a lot of women are responsible for the soaring streams of the said artists with 52% for Ayra Starr, 51% for Nikita and 50 percent for Xenia Manasseh.
