Swift, a 14-time Grammy winner renowned for her musical prowess, has equally captivated audiences with her fashion choices.
From her recent Super Bowl outfit, which reportedly cost over Sh6.7 million and was designed by Dion Lee, to her iconic red carpet appearances adorned in a spectrum of colors, textures, and silhouettes, Swift continues to set trends and turn heads with her sartorial selections.
The research, which analyzed the average number of United States Google searches for style-related terms such as ‘[artist] fashion’ and ‘[artist] style’ for 100 women in the music industry, unveiled Swift’s undeniable influence on the fashion landscape.
Following closely behind Swift is Stevie Nicks, the legendary singer-songwriter known for her distinctive style both as a solo artist and during her tenure with Fleetwood Mac.
With an average of 18,808 monthly Google searches for her outfits, Nicks has solidified her status as a fashion icon, particularly during the 70s and 80s, embracing eclectic vintage patterns, flowy fabrics, and her trademark platform boots.
R&B sensation Aaliyah claims the third position, with an average of 15,601 monthly Google searches regarding her fashion. Revered for her baggy yet vibrant attire, Aaliyah’s red carpet ensembles and everyday wardrobe continue to inspire fashion enthusiasts worldwide.
Beyoncé follows closely in fourth place, with an average of 14,365 monthly Google searches about her style. Recognized for her bold red carpet-appearances and dazzling concert attire, Beyoncé’s fashion choices exude confidence and sophistication.
Lady Gaga, renowned for her avant-garde and boundary-pushing style, secures the fifth spot with an average of 11,298 monthly Google searches for her outfits.
Gaga’s unconventional fashion statements, such as her infamous meat dress at the 2010 MTV Music Awards, have solidified her as a fashion trailblazer.
The top ten list also includes Melanie Martinez, Ariana Grande, Doja Cat, Rihanna, and Lana Del Rey, each celebrated for their unique fashion sensibilities that continue to influence trends and inspire creativity among fans.
A spokesperson from Boohoo remarked, “While these women have completely different styles, they all have impeccable fashion sense. They not only have a keen eye for style but also the confidence to carry their unique looks with grace.”
