Mumias East MP Peter Salasya has reacted to Linet Chepkorir alias Toto’s engagement. In a tweet, the first-time lawmaker congratulated Toto, the youngest woman elected to the House of Representatives.

Additionally, he reiterated respect for Azimio la Umoja party leader Raila Odinga saying he would not do what he had promised to do due to her ‘disrespect.’

He said, “Yes, yes.  Young gal has definitely done it honourably congratulations @LinetChepkorir_ sasa sitafanya ile kitu but ka heshima tu kidogo kwa baba Raila na tutakuwa marafiki wakubwa tena sana sawa (I will not be doing what I promised, but accord some respect to Raila and we will be friends)…All the best harusi lazima nikuje sasa.”

Salasya, while in Busia called out the Bomet Women Representative for disrespecting Mr Odinga.

Toto, who was addressing residents, threw shade at Mr Odinga following his unsuccessful presidential races.

Weighing in on the political debate, Toto criticised Mr Odinga by saying that he always claimed that the country’s general elections that he has participated in have always been rigged in favour of other contestants.

“This old man started his political protests even before I was born. He started in 1997, then came to 2007, 2013, 2017, and 2022 and he claims that the election was rigged. I want to tell you that President Ruto was voted in by Kenyans as their fifth President,” she said.

Her sentiments attracted varying opinions from netizens, with Salasya on Sunday in disdain, promising that he would impregnate Toto this week.

“And those young people who are abusing baba. There is one who was voted in but did not have any money like Peter Salasya. She is called Toto, I will go and impregnate her next week,” he said.

Her lover on Valentine’s proposed to Toto at a private ceremony in one of Nairobi’s hotels.
