Popular Kenyan TikToker Bahati Bahaty dies

The death of popular TikToker Bahati Bahaty continues to rock Kenyans on the social media platform as they expressed their shock over his sudden demise a week ago.

His death was confirmed by fellow TikToker Samuel Githaiga who broke down as he attempted to explain what happened.

“Hi guys, this is Githaiga. So it is true, I want to confirm that it is true indeed true that Bahati Bahaty from TikTok got ill some time back and he went home and this morning, he passed, he died and yeah, he died…he died. It’s true,” said Githaiga as he broke down in tears.

Many of Githaiga and Bahaty’s followers could not believe the news as most expressed dismay over the death they termed as premature.

“If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we belong to God…in God’s loving hands. Rest in Peace,” said Jymoh Shirih.

“OMG! No way. This is crazy, I’m still in shock,” added Joisij Smile.

“I can’t believe this,” said Kelvin Kinuthi, a popular cross-dresser.

“God watch over us, please. No more premature deaths” added another user.

“RIP. I saw something was not okay with him but couldn’t confirm,” said Rose Rjaymash.

“It is sad and hard to believe. May his soul rest in perfect peace,” said Marvell.

A number of TikTokers in Githaiga and Bahaty’s circles have since been holding vigils and memorial services to remember ‘Bahaa’ in the lead-up to his burial.

Githaiga also updated their followers that another mini funds drive would be held today, October 12, 2022, at the El Vago Lounge (formerly Club L.A) at 3 pm in Nairobi.

They hope to meet their budget of Sh 300,000 to cater for the burial expenses.

He is set to be buried on October 14 in Mbooni, Tuvilani near Mbooni High School, Makueni County.

Bahaty, going by his TikTok profile, was a journalist and brand influencer who enjoyed posting videos of himself bonding with his family.
