The Government is intact, DP Gachagua affirms

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has underlined the government’s steadfastness and commitment to delivering on its promises of development projects aimed at improving the lives of Kenyan citizens.

Addressing a congregation at Kapsabet Showground during an Anglican Church service on October 8, the Deputy President emphasized the administration’s unwavering dedication to fulfilling its campaign pledges and executing its agenda.

“There are no issues within the Government, and there won’t be any. Some individuals who did not support us are still in denial, seeking ways to divert our focus and create problems within the government, but we won’t be swayed,” he asserted.

Gachagua reiterated his and his colleagues’ full support for the President, emphasizing their commitment to assisting him in achieving their shared objectives.

“There will be no divisions in this administration. We are united in purpose, consult with one another, and the President is leading us toward a brighter future. Our duty is to support the President in governing this great nation. We understand our responsibilities,” he added.

The Deputy President expressed that he welcomed opposition supporters who threw their support behind the President, highlighting that the President served all Kenyans.

“They are welcome because the President serves the whole country, but there must also be someone to defend those who have supported him all along. That’s my job,” stated the DP.

Gachagua stressed the importance of consolidating regions that had overwhelmingly voted for the President, pledging to continue doing so. He also addressed the issue of the fight against illicit brew and drug abuse, promising punitive action against administrators who failed to address these vices in their jurisdictions.

“We will take punitive action against them for failing to discharge their duties,” he affirmed.

Additionally, the Deputy President challenged churches to explore alternative ways of supporting the work of God, beyond offerings and tithes, commending the ACK Kapsabet Diocese for diversifying its sources of funding.

“What you have done is something other churches should come here to benchmark,” he acknowledged.
