TV journalist Stephen Letoo robbed in Nairobi

TV journalist Stephen Letoo says he was robbed by unknown people in Nairobi on September 2, 2023.

While explaining the incident on his social media, the political reporter at Citizen TV explained that unknown people smashed one of the windows of his car and made away with his Mac Book Apple Laptop.

“They also stole drives, other personal valuables and invitation cards for my upcoming thanksgiving ceremony,” he narrated.

The matter was reported at the Muthangari Police Station and recorded under Occurrence Book (OB) number 04/02/09/2023.

Burglary cases have been on the increase in Nairobi in recent times.

On July 25, 2023 for instance, six suspects suspected of vamndalizing and stealing valuables from vehicles were arrested at Kabete.

Police commenced investigations when locals reported that two pick-up trucks had been vandalized at a home in Muguga.

Police say the suspects were in the process of jacking vehicle parts which are then sold at the black market.

Kabete Sub-County police boss Mr Joseph Muriuki confirmed investigations were ongoing to unerath the beneficiaries of the stolen parts.

“When I arrived at the scene the six suspects could not even explain what they were doing at that home,” Mr Muriuki said.

Police officers arrested the suspects and detained tham at King’eero Police Station.

Detectives also discovered a third vehicle which the suspect was accused to haul the stolen parts to the market.

The vehicles were towed to the King’eero police station.

So daring are the robbers who usually vandalize cars that they even do it on broad daylight when vehicles are stuck in traffic.
