Ugandan Speaker’s arrival in military chopper delays rugby match’s kick off
The Speaker of Uganda’s Parliament, Rebecca Kadaga, on Saturday stole the show during an Africa Gold Cup rugby match by landing at the venue aboard a military chopper with several army bodyguards in tow.
The chopper landed at the centre of the pitch at the Legends Rugby Club in Kampala just before the match between Uganda and Namibia, resulting in considerable excitement among the fans.
Unfortunately, her flamboyant display also resulted into a 30-minute delay in kick-off for this contest which the host nation lost 48-24.
Regardless, Kadaga, who was the guest of honour, without doubt left the most impression among the sports fans, even on social media.
What Kadaga did was what campus boys do when they borrow a car. Park it right in front of the hostel door blocking everyone’s exit/entrance

Uganda is a joke. A chopper carrying speaker Kadaga arrives at kick-off time and lands in the pitch. Televised kickoff delayed!

Why is Kadaga bringing her bigwig-ism and diseases to our rugby. That’s bad luck. Swaitani yenyiini!!!

The Helicopter ? (Mi-171A1) which took Speaker Kadaga to Legends for the Rugby Game consumes fuel worth UGx 3,600,000 per hour.

After seeing Kadaga get out of the chopper, am very sure we will lose this game. The gods can’t let us win? #UgandaVsNamibia

If Kadaga wants a chopper so that she can interupt our rugby games may she never get one.
