We have a presidential candidate, says Cord
Cord co-chairs James Orengo and Johnston Muthama say the coalition already has a presidential candidate for next year’s General Election.
The duo said together with Kimilili Constituency MP, Eseli Simiyu, they have been holding a series of strategic meetings and already they have come up with a strong candidate together with a formidable team to face the Jubilee Party.
While speaking in Kisumu on Friday, Mr Muthama said the coalition is alive to the fact that the next General Election will be the third and final liberation of Kenya.
In recent weeks, the opposition coalition’s three co-principals, Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka and Moses Wetangula have been haggling in public over who among them is best suited to run against President Uhuru Kenyatta next year.
