‘Zuchu leaves every week…’, Zari Hassan denies involvement in Diamond’s relationship woes
Ugandan socialite Zari Hassan has dispelled claims her recent collaboration with baby daddy Diamond Platnumz caused the dissolution of his relationship with singer Zuchu.
In a phone interview with Millard Ayo, the mother of five vehemently refuted allegations linking her to the couple’s troubles, asserting that issues between Diamond and Zuchu existed long before their recent collaboration.
The controversy sparked when a promotional video featuring Diamond and Zari holding hands and walking together surfaced online.
Despite the intimate portrayal, Diamond publicly referred to Zari as his sister, prompting widespread speculation regarding the nature of their relationship.
Addressing the uproar, Zari clarified that Diamond had approached her for assistance in promoting his struggling music video while they were shooting in Johannesburg.
She explained:
“We were shooting in Johannesburg and Diamond Platnumz told me that his music video was not doing well, and so he requested me to help him push the song by doing a promo.”
Furthermore, Zari emphasized that her relationship with Diamond has evolved beyond animosity.
“Tanzanians are making it a big deal saying I do not want to move on, Baba Tee (Diamond) is the father of my kids and we have a good relationship. There was a time we were a bitter ex-couple but we have passed that stage.”
Zari also shed light on the tumultuous dynamics between Diamond and Zuchu, revealing that their relationship had been fraught with challenges long before her involvement.
She disclosed instances where Zuchu purportedly distanced herself from Diamond, indicating deeper underlying issues within their relationship.
Zari also highlited inconsistencies in Zuchu’s public statements.
“Zuchu and Diamond have had problems even before. Zuchu releasing the statement that she had ended the relationship because of my video with Diamond is a lie,” Zari asserted.
“Zuchu leaves Diamond every week and comes back. She keeps denying that she is in love. She is not honest and even her mother has said many times that she does not recognize her relationship with Diamond.
They have problems and I can not be the problem. They have taken me as an easy target when they break up.”
Zari reiterated that she and Diamond have moved on amicably and urged the public to refrain from scapegoating her in the couple’s relationship woes.
She emphasized her commitment to her own marriage and reiterated that her association with Diamond was solely professional.
“We have already moved on and I am married and he has had other female before Zuchu.”
