Here are the roads to be closed during Obama’s visit


The Nairobi county police boss has released the list of roads that will be closed for the public during the three day visit by United States President Barack Obama in Nairobi.

The roads to be closed on Friday as from 2 pm are Mombasa road, Uhuru highway and Waiyaki way.

The roads that will be closed on Saturday are Thika road, Limuru road and Waiyaki Way.

Over 10, 000 police officers have been mobilized to provide security in Nairobi during President Obama’s stay in the capital, county police commandant Benson Kibue said on Wednesday.

The officers will collaborate with United States security personnel in providing security and patrols during the three days.

Kenyans have been asked to co-operate with the security officers and avoid functions that are to be attended only by those invited.
