I’m heartbroken! Stivo Simple Boy mourns dad
Musician Stephen Otieno alias Stivo Simple Boy says he has just endured the worst birthday in his lifetime.
The rapper says the recent death of his father has affected him, coming at around the time he was born.
“On my birthday, I want to give all respect to my father. I want this day to be respectful to you,” he posted on Facebook.
The sad news of the musician’s dad’s demise was shared by his management Men In Business (MIB).
“Death announcement of Anthony Adera, Stivo Simple Boy’s father. It is with the saddest regret and sorrow that we announce the death the father of Stevo Simple Boy,” part of a statement shared by the management read.
He then took to social media and asked his fans to pray for him during this time which he said was more challenging.
According to him, his father died at a time when he needed him more, terming the loss as painful.
“Nimepata msiba yakupoteza babangu mzazi Antony Adera niuchingu sana kupoteza mzazi ilanaomba mniombee na mnisapoti kwa huu wakati mgumu. Mungu awabariki,” part of the post on Instagram read.
He also penned an appreciation letter to his fans asking them to pray for him during these challenging moments of his life.
“I am very grateful to the fans for supporting me all this time, but I have experienced the tragedy of losing my father, please pray for me and give me strength at this time,” he said.
The rapper started his career in Kibera, Nairobi County and has released a number of songs which include; Wedding Day, Mapenzi ya Pesa, Real and Glory.
