Journalist Mwanaisha Chidzuga thankful after landing top government job
Mwanaisha Chidzuga, a respected figure in the media industry, has shared a heartfelt message of gratitude after being appointed Deputy Government Spokesperson by President William Ruto in a recent cabinet reshuffle announced on October 4.
Taking to her Instagram account, the accomplished journalist extended her sincere appreciation to President William Samoei Ruto and the ruling party for placing their trust in her for this significant role.
In her message, Chidzuga conveyed: “As an appointee to the role of Deputy Government Spokesperson, I come before you today with a heart full of gratitude and a deep sense of honour. It is a privilege to be entrusted with this responsibility, and I am humbled by the opportunity to serve my country in this capacity.”

Chidzuga added that her appointment signifies a significant milestone, not just in her career but also within the broader context of advancing gender equality and women’s empowerment.

The new appointments includes the Government Spokesperson, Mr Isaac Maigua Mwaura, and Deputy Government Spokesperson, Mr Gabriel Muthuma.
This trio will now be responsible for delivering crucial government messages to the public.
Her loyal fans highly anticipated Ms Chidzuga’s return to the limelight.
Her absence from the media scene began in October 2019 when she left her role at the Mediamax Limited-owned station, K24 TV.

During her hiatus, she embarked on new endeavors, including a role at TV47, where she was set to read news bulletins on Fridays and Saturdays as part of the program ‘TV47 Wikendi.’
Speaking about this role four months ago, she took to her Instagram account, where she expressed her gratitude for the opportunity.
