A police officer on Tuesday morning sustained injuries in his private parts while attempting to arrest a suspected robber who was armed with a machete.

According to a report filed at Kakamega Police Station, officers attached to Eshisiru Police Post were patrolling a local shopping center when they encountered the suspect who was walking through a dark alley near a bar known as Chatter Nooga.

“When he was stopped he brandished a panga but he was immediately subdued and disarmed. He resisted to be handcuffed and he started fighting the officers,” the police said in the report.
